Trip report 2024 06 15 Copenhagen – Ravinen – Klippan

I have always enjoyed the Copenhagen Photo Festival. This year, it ran from June 06 -16. We decided to combine it with Ravinen in Båstad, where Lars Lerin has a newly opened exhibition.

Friday 14th: We drove to Hylie and then took the train, metro and bus to Refshaleoen. The Copenhagen Photo Exhibition has been running for 15 years. It is an avant-garde collection of photography which ranges from art to reportage which is mainly displayed outside. I always find it stimulating. The subjects ranged from photos taken in a Danish motorway rest place to Mount Etna eruption.

After the exhibition we ate in the street food area that is nearby. Then, back to Hyllie and our car to drive up to Helsingborg to a hotel in the middle of the town. Dinner was Tapas.

Saturday 15th: The next day it was Ravinen Kulturhus in Båstad to see a Lars Lerin exhibition of mainly large watercolours. Two large rooms and perhaps 20 works. It was better than I had expected. The picture they had used for advertising was my least favourite. There were also some impressive ceramics by Ulla and Gustav Kraiz.

We stopped at the S:t Petri Church in Klippan. It is a brick, modern building, which I found to be dark and menacing. It would not convert me. Then home to a rainy Skillinge. We had been lucky with the weather the day before.
